  1. Aan de defensie-ambtenaar die voor het volgen van een opleiding of cursus is geplaatst in de Verenigde Staten van Amerika of Canada kan een lening worden verstrekt ter zake van de aankoop van een auto.

  2. Het bedrag van de lening is niet hoger dan de aankoopprijs van de auto, met inachtneming van de maximumbedragen die zijn opgenomen in tabel 15.

  3. Over de lening is een rente van 11 procent per jaar verschuldigd.

  4. De aflossing van de lening geschiedt vóór het einde van de plaatsing in ten hoogste twaalf gelijke maandelijkse opeenvolgende termijnen, aanvangende met de maand volgende op die waarin de lening is verstrekt. Bij het vaststellen van het maandelijkse aflossingsbedrag kan desgewenst rekening worden gehouden met de vermoedelijke opbrengst van de verkoop van de auto bij het einde van de plaatsing. In dat geval wordt de maandelijkse aflossing vastgesteld op ten minste 50 procent van het maandelijkse aflossingsbedrag dat verschuldigd zou zijn, indien de gehele lening in maandelijkse termijnen zou worden afgelost.
